Introduction

From the onset of 2023, we at Monlam IT Research Centre initiated the Monlam AI Project, focusing on four primary machine learning models: the Machine Translation Model, the OCR (Optical Character Recognition) Model, the Speech-to-Text Model, andText-to-Speech Model.

Our Machine Translation Model is designed for bi-directional translation between Tibetan and English. The OCR model skillfully transcribes Tibetan text embedded within images. The Speech-to-Text Model accurately converts Tibetan content into written form, whereas the Text-to-Speech Model proficiently vocalised Tibetan written text. At Monlam AI, we successfully employ people of different demographics, genders, and walks of life.
